Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide itinerant PreK services across multiple daycare locations within a K-12 school district in Rome, GA. This maternity leave contract role runs approximately from December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026, with some flexibility for transition days. The SLP will serve a primary caseload of 13 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support a total of about 39 young learners in early childhood settings.
Location:
- Various daycare centers (approximately 4-5 sites) across the district, including Head Start South and North
- Onsite service delivery only, with travel between locations required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to PreK students
- Manage and maintain IEP documentation and case management for assigned caseload
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure effective communication intervention
- Adapt and implement therapy plans according to individual student needs in an early childhood setting
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior school-based experience highly preferred
- Experience working with PreK-aged children is a significant plus
- Ability to work full time (37.5 to 40 hours per week) during the contract period
